2013 Conn Creek "Herrick Red" Red Blend Review
I've had some shitty wine lately, man. I'm talking dud after dud so I wasn't expecting much here. This winery is a high volume producer and has a bunch of trendy pictures on their website. That's all you need to know.
I've not had any of their wines before because I know how this generally turns out. But since I've been in a be really disappointed mood lately I figured why the hell not. Cab and Syrah blends can be MEH or HELL YEAH but few seem to be right in the middle. Funny enough though, that's exactly what this wine is. It's not great, it's not bad but it's more good than bad.
In da nostrils this wine has some rose/floral scents that make me think I'm in the flower section of a Kroger. In da mouf, there are some darker cherry/plum flavors with an almost espresso bitterness to the finish. It's really not a terrible wine for $20 so if you want to drink it and watch shitty TV this may be your jam.
