Review:

This wine was a gift from good friend, and Bad Wine Review loyalist, Caleb Gibson who owns Gibby's Bottle Shop in Orangeburg, SC - a store that if given the chance you need to visit ASAP. Caleb had mentioned that I needed to review this wine earlier on and I could come up with 800 reasons as to why I didn't but the most honest and realistic one is I forgot. So here we are.

This is a somewhat experimental/adventurous blend attempt by Darioush with the majority of the wine being made up by Cabernet and Merlot. Cabernet and Merlot are both stout wines that can age very well so basically what Darioush has done is stick two well off people together and said, "Get along and pay the rent until you are set free by a fat guy with a website." Today was their D-Day.

On the nose I got very explosive red fruit notes that led me to believe I had been sent home with a fruit bomb. Luckily I tasted it before making such an assumption because it was definitely not that. In da mouf it was bold, heavy and fruit filled but not jammy or sweet. This is something you would have with duck, pheasant or quail - anything of that sort.

This is an excellent bottle for the money especially if you like bold wines that make you feel like a little bitch. Don't be a bitch and try it!
