Review:

Good ol’ Chuck makin’ some wine for the people to drink. This wine is from Chuck Wagner, aka the Caymus guy, who also makes Emmolo, Conundrum and Red Schooner. If you haven't had any of those just know this fucker makes a lot of wine.

What is interesting about this bottle, besides the boring ass backstory, is the that it does not have a "vintage" but rather a lot number. This is Lot 1 which one can only assume will be the predecessor of Lot 2 and possibly 3. The Wagner family truthfully goes on to not release where this wine is sourced from but I have an inside source that tells me it's probably Kroger.

In da nostrils I get chalk and soil which is a big ol' thumbs up for me. I initially wrote down coffee grounds but I'm not sure if I'm having a stroke or I really smelled that. In da mouf I got some citrus like a blood orange and some bright, ripe cherries. There are some light-medium tannins going on that stick with you well beyond the taste.

I wanted to hate this wine for the lame ass secrecy, lack of a vintage and stupid name but as it's sat there in the glass it's grown on me. I wish the finish was a little longer but that's why I go to 4hims.com. Goodnight.
